Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated January 1, 2026

InboxRoads is built for permission-based email. This policy protects recipients, our providers and every customer who shares our sending reputation. Violations can lead to paused campaigns, suspension or termination.

You must

  • Send only to people who have clearly agreed to receive email from you, and keep records of that consent.
  • Identify yourself accurately in the From name, From address and email content.
  • Include a working unsubscribe link and honour unsubscribe requests promptly. InboxRoads adds one automatically.
  • Include your valid physical business address in marketing emails.
  • Comply with applicable laws such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL and local anti-spam regulations.

You must not

  • Use purchased, rented, scraped or harvested lists, or email addresses obtained without consent.
  • Send phishing, malware, deceptive content, or content that impersonates another person or organisation.
  • Use misleading subject lines or forged headers.
  • Attempt to evade spam filters, blocklists or provider limits — for example by rotating domains or IPs, obfuscating content, or splitting accounts.
  • Send content related to illegal goods or services, or content that is abusive, hateful or sexually explicit.
  • Use the verification service to validate lists for sending unsolicited email.

Performance thresholds

We monitor bounce and complaint rates. Campaigns that exceed our limits are paused automatically, and repeated issues may lead to account review.

Reporting abuse

If you received unwanted email sent through InboxRoads, contact support@inboxroads.com and include the full message headers. We investigate every report.
