Free DMARC record checker
Check a domain’s DMARC record, policy and reporting setup, and see whether it meets the Gmail and Yahoo bulk sender requirements.
What the DMARC checker validates
- a single record exists at
_dmarc.your domain (or is inherited from the parent domain); - the record starts with
v=DMARC1and has a valid policy:none,quarantineorreject; - aggregate reports are configured with
rua=mailto:; - alignment (
adkim,aspf) and rollout percentage (pct) values are valid.
A safe DMARC rollout
- Monitor:
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourdomain.com - Fix: use the reports to make sure every service that sends for you passes SPF or DKIM with alignment.
- Enforce: move to
p=quarantine, thenp=reject.

Frequently asked questions
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) is a DNS record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com. It tells receivers what to do when a message fails SPF and DKIM alignment, and where to send reports about mail using your domain.
Yes, for bulk senders. As of 2026, Gmail and Yahoo require senders of large volumes to publish a DMARC record (at least p=none), authenticate with SPF and DKIM, and align the From domain. Check their sender guidelines for current details.
Start with p=none and a rua reporting address to monitor. When reports show your legitimate mail passes, move to p=quarantine and eventually p=reject for full protection against spoofing.
rua is the address that receives aggregate reports — daily summaries of which servers sent mail using your domain and whether it passed authentication.
