Download results and save valid contacts to a list

Export verified, invalid and risky addresses as CSV files, or save the good addresses straight into a contact list for your next campaign.

When a verification job completes, you can download the results as CSV files or save the good addresses directly into a contact list.

Download CSV files

  1. Go to Email verification and click the job name.
  2. Scroll to Download results.
  3. Click the file you need:
File Contains
verified.csv Valid addresses only
invalid.csv Invalid, syntax error, domain error and mailbox error
risky.csv Risky, unknown, disposable and role-based
all.csv Every address with its status

Each file has these columns: email, status, sub_status (the detailed reason), mx_found, disposable, role_based and free_provider.

Note: Download links expire after 1 hour for security. If a link stops working, reload the job page to get a fresh one.

Save addresses to a contact list

You don't have to download and re-import. Use Save to a contact list on the same page:

  1. Pick an Existing list, or leave it on Create a new list and type a name in …or new list name. By default it's your job name plus "(verified)".
  2. Tick the statuses to include. Valid is ticked by default. You can also add Role-based, Risky and Unknown.
  3. Click Save addresses.

You're taken to the list, with a message showing how many addresses were added.

Good to know:

  • Addresses that already exist as contacts aren't duplicated. They're simply added to the list.
  • New contacts are created as Subscribed, with their verification status recorded.
  • Only add addresses you have permission to email.

See which addresses failed

Below the downloads, the Sample of addresses that did not pass table shows up to 10 addresses that weren't valid, with their status and reason. It's a quick way to spot patterns, such as a typo in a common domain.

Clean up old jobs

To remove a finished job and its result files, click Delete on the job page. This doesn't change contacts that were already updated or saved to a list.

Next steps

Key takeaways

  • Download verified.csv, invalid.csv, risky.csv or all.csv from the job page.
  • Links expire after an hour. Reload the page for new ones.
